A humanitarian and community activist , Lielt Samuel, became the youngest person ever featured at the State Fair of Texas Parade in 1999. Lielt was born in the United States of America in 1992.
She rode on the African Float as an African Princess along with her mother Yeharerwerk Gashaw. Lielt participated in the parade at her age due to her maturity, social skills, and prior experience at an early age.  
Here Lielt is pictured with her mother, wearing  traditional Ethiopian dress called “Ye ager Libs” and Congolese dress, representing the African Continent at the State Fair of Texas.
