In 1990,Ethiopian National Peace Reconciliation Proposal was presented to former President of Ethiopia Mengistu Hailemariam by political, peace and human rights activist Yeharerwerk Gashaw. The proposal was designed by Yeharerwerk in order to bring peace between the Eritrean People's Liberation Front and the Tigryan People's Liberation Front (separatists group) and establish a democratic government in Ethiopia.
